One of Paul’s enduring passions is history and heritage. Living in the United Kingdom—a nation rich in both natural and built heritage—offers a constant source of inspiration. From our National Parks and dramatic coastlines to the architectural grandeur of castles, Royal Palaces, stately homes, and ancient deer parks, the fabric of British life is woven with the legacy of our past.
Paul believes that protecting and preserving these national treasures is a responsibility of great importance. His dedication to this cause is reflected in his membership of esteemed organisations such as the National Trust, English Heritage, and the Royal Horticultural Society, all of which work tirelessly to safeguard the country’s historical and natural heritage for future generations.
Paul Borrow-Longain and Marlborough
As a proud traditionalist and staunch Monarchist, Paul holds a deep respect for the United Kingdom’s Royal traditions and the vital role the Sovereign and Royal Family continue to play in public life—not only within the UK, but across the wider Commonwealth of Nations.
He regularly attends ceremonial and state occasions that celebrate and uphold these traditions, including Garter Day at Windsor Castle, Trooping the Colour, and Beating Retreat at Horse Guards Parade in London. He has also had the honour of being invited to attend the State Opening of Parliament and the Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey—events that reflect both his commitment to civic life and his admiration for the enduring institutions of British heritage.
