Philanthropy

Philanthropy has been a fundamental aspect of Paul’s life for as long as he can remember. It is his sincere hope that this passion for giving back will be inherited by his future children, inspiring them to continue the work initiated by their parents.

The family’s philanthropic commitments are broadly divided into two distinct areas of focus. The first centres around their shared interest in history, science, the Armed Forces, and traditional countryside pursuits. These endeavours are pursued privately as a family.

The second area is dedicated exclusively to supporting philanthropic initiatives aimed at improving the lives of individuals, families, and communities within emerging nations of the Commonwealth of Nations. This work is undertaken through their non-profit organisation, Commonwealth Positivity.

Founded in 2016, Commonwealth Positivity was established to actively support charitable projects across the Commonwealth of Nations and the United States of America. Its guiding philosophy—reflected in the words and values of the late Head of the Commonwealth, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and her successor, His Majesty King Charles III—is clear: the Commonwealth, comprising 56 member nations and over 2.4 billion people, holds immense potential as a force for good. It is a unique platform for fostering positivity, cultural understanding, economic progress, and sustainable global development.

Commonwealth Positivity is committed to empowering organisations and individuals who uphold these ideals. Through the provision of resources, strategic partnerships, and shared expertise, the organisation seeks to enhance the impact and reach of charitable missions aligned with the Commonwealth’s values.
